Hi this is Nikki here! Today I’m going to talk about the effects of soy and how soy can make your breasts grow!
A big topic on the internet is, Does soy milk make your breasts grow?
Soy milk has been a great milk alternative for people who are lactose intolerant. Vegans are also using soy milk as an alternative to normal milk. It’s low in calories and helps people avoid an upset stomach.
First, I’m going to give you some information about breasts and the two chemicals that play a major role in their size.
Anatomy of the Breasts
Breasts are considered the soft tissue that is directly over the pectoral muscles. This soft tissue is a special tissue called glandular tissue. Glandular tissue produces milk.
Our breasts are also made of of adipose tissue, which is a combination of fat cells. This tissue exists from the collarbone to the underarm, and around the rib cage.
The breasts are also made up of sections called lobes. The lobes and lobules are connected through milk ducts, which carry milk to the nipple.
These small ducts come together in bigger ducts. They eventually connect to the nipple, which is where the milk ultimately ends up.
Just to clarify ladies, the dark skin around the nipple is the areola. It’s good to know about the different parts of your breasts.
A big factor in having large breasts is the amount of fat tissue that exists in them. Another important factor though have to do with two sex chemicals that we are going to talk about.
Progesterone & Estrogen
Three major estrogens exist. They are known as estradiol, estrone, and estriol. Estrogen is responsible for health development during puberty. It also helps regulate the distribution of fat to key areas like the breasts, hips, and legs (Helps you get that hour glass shape).
These two chemicals are extremely important to our breast health. The sex hormones play an interesting roll in increasing the size of your breasts.
During your cycle, estrogen initially rises to stimulate the ovulation period. This is why your breasts may become a bit bigger and more sensitive during this time. The second part of your cycle consists of progesterone either rising or decreasing depending on if you are pregnant.
If you are pregnant the progesterone levels go up. If not, then they go down.
Does Soy Milk Make your Breasts Grow?
The simple answer is yes. Soy milk does make your breasts grow.
What’s really making them grow though is estrogen. Phytoestrogen is a plant estrogen that is released when you consume soy. Since it imitates the normal estrogen that our bodies produce, it can have the same effects. Estrogen helps stimulate breast growth.
Estrogen increases breast growth and causes swelling in the area.
Finding way to increase the estrogen levels in your body are important to making your breasts grow. During the menstrual cycle, estrogen levels increase, which is why breasts tend to swell and become a bit bigger during your cycle.
Soy milk also contains isoflavones which can help fight cancer cells that develop in the breasts. This same chemical can also relieve menstrual symptoms, heart disease, and osteoporosis. The nutritional benefits of soy milk exceed much more than just breast health.
